2. Object of the Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the access to and use of the timbrehotels.com website, as well as the conditions applicable to bookings made through the site.

3. Booking Conditions

3.1. Time of payment

The amount to be paid is presented at the time of booking, depending on the selected rates and conditions.

Non-Refundable Rates: The total amount is charged immediately upon confirmation of the booking.
Flexible Rates: The credit card may be pre-authorized. The final payment is made at check-in or check-out, according to the conditions of the chosen rate.

3.2. Cancellation policy

The cancellation conditions are presented during the booking process and vary according to the selected rate.

Typical examples:

Flexible Rate: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the arrival date; after this period, the cost of the first night or the total amount may be charged, according to the applicable policy.
Non-Refundable Rate: Does not allow cancellations or modifications; in case of cancellation, modification, or no-show, the total amount paid is not refunded.

4. Prices and Taxes

The prices shown include VAT at the current legal rate. The Municipality of Porto applies a Municipal Tourist Tax (City Tax), the amount of which is informed during the booking process and charged according to the rules in force.

5. Consumer Rights

The consumer has the right to file a complaint under Portuguese legislation, namely through the Directorate-General for Consumers (Direção-Geral do Consumidor) or the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico), accessible through this website.

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may resort to the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities provided for in Law No. 144/2015, including the Justices of the Peace (Julgados de Paz), when territorially competent, and the Consumer Dispute Arbitration Centers.
